Pittsburgh City Proper: Selling Speed in the Urban Core
When we look at Pittsburgh City proper, selling a home takes a bit longer than it does in our suburbs. On average, homes inside the city limits sit on the market for 83 days. However, the most popular homes move much faster, getting accepted offers in just 36 to 43 days. Our city is a large area with many different types of properties, which is why the overall average time to sell is a bit higher.
Bethel Park: Fast Sales in the Suburbs
Bethel Park is a very active and fast-moving market for us right now. If you are selling a home in Bethel Park, you can expect it to stay on the market for an average of 64 days. This is much faster than last year, when homes in this area took 77 days to sell. For homes that are in great condition, buyers move fast, and those hot homes can go pending in just 41 days.
Mount Lebanon: Steady Demand and Quick Offers
Mount Lebanon has always been a highly desired place to live, keeping our local housing market very competitive and fast-paced. Homes in Mount Lebanon sell faster than the city average, spending about 57 days on the market. The most popular homes in this area get snapped up quickly, often going pending in just 42 days.
Upper St. Clair: The Fastest Improving Speed
Upper St. Clair is seeing some of the biggest improvements in selling speed in our entire region. Today, homes in Upper St. Clair take an average of 60 days to sell. This is a huge drop from last year, when homes took 93 days to sell. The hottest homes here are getting offers very quickly, going pending in just 39 to 41 days.
Peters Township: Consistent Selling Speeds and Low Inventory
In Peters Township, we are seeing a strong seller's market with very few homes available to buy. Because there are so few homes, sellers are willing to wait longer for the best possible offer, which affects how long homes sit on the market. On average, homes in Peters Township spend 68 days on the market.
South Fayette: The Booming Growth Area
South Fayette has become one of our most popular and fast-growing real estate markets. The number of homes for sale has dropped sharply, making it tough for buyers but great for sellers who want to move quickly. Homes in South Fayette spend an average of 65 days on the market. This is actually 13% faster than the time it took to sell a home here last year.
